These IC sockets are from Chinese manufacturing and were by the end of 2011, a low-cost alternative to series 169 with the country of origin Switzerland which unfortunately recently become expensive again. Meanwhile, prices for the 169C is in similar heights as that of the 169 and we decided to take the 169C out from the program. Any remaining stocks to be sold (Status: June 2012).

Attention: These sockets are mechanically equivalent to the Series 169 but not suitable for pin-in-paste reflow soldering!
